I checked some more on this bug report and IMO we should simply close it.
It seems secure-su does exactly what you average Unix su does. It certainly
does not do all that fancy stuff gnu su does. So I think people needing
this stuff should make sure they use gnu su instead. As long as you do
The eterm package in slink comes without a MAIN configuration file it
seems. I´ve installed eterm-0.8.6 and eterm-background from incoming but
now I don´t get any background images anymore.

Where on earth is getreal? The new X packages won't install without it.

I´m afraid there are a lot of them. In fact installing them broke my system
completely since I need X. Here's what I still remember:
1) xdm is started regardless whether it is confugured to do so. I have
no-start-xdm in my config file but still it starts up.
2) some preinsts call getreal() but
libgtop0 now installs libraries with soname 1. Strange. In particular that
breaks lost of gnome apps depending on soname 0. If this is brought back
keep in mind that gtop has to be recompiled too since it depends on 1.

Is there anyone out there who could do an upload for me?
I have a new better iceconf package ready for upload but I´m sitting on a
mail-only account. So I could mail the package to someone who then copies
it to incoming on master.

Dr. Michael Meskes | Th.-Heuss-Str. 61,
Does anyone know where to find the patches for the infra red serial port?

The problem is that I wrote the program in the first place... And it isn't
tcl,
its perl.. (with perl-tk as the gui-lib).
Oops I messed up the language. Should have checked more carefully. But
still would you mind someone else making the program fit the Debian
guidelines? I
Dan Jacobowitz tried to make a libstdc++2.8 package, but he ran into
strange linking bugs. The generated library appears to be missing
some symbols.
Please look at the packages in http://master.debian.org/~dan/ if you
think you can help.
Sorry, no time to do that.

I don't know
Okay, Matthias also agrees with my version. Let´s see if the other LyX guys
say. Could we get this into the LyX package ASAP? Who´s in charge now?
Mark?

looks good to me, with or without the first sentence.
For me too.
it's true, anyway. the GPL is often a source of misunderstanding and
confusion. witness KDE, for example.
Yes, your right. But I think this sentence doens´t fit well into a license
file.

I might be able to get a similar license agreement for KDE as the one I
send for LyX. Would that be enough to get at least major parts of KDE back
on the site? I have no idea how much we would have to keep out. I know
kghostview and kdvi, but other than that? Since I use Gnome I cannot simply
