Yes, this was meant as a preliminary build to get a working x32 package,

This is causing build failures of ntp (see bug #184172).
According to the glibc ChangeLog's, ntp_adjtime was changed to an
alias of adjtimex. It doesn't seem that change got propagated to the
alpha port, though. It still appears in /usr/include/sys/timex.h,
though.
