When I create or edit an event, I can't set or change the time. No
matter what I do, it reverts to 12:00 AM after I save the event.
Moreover, the Apply button stays greyed out unless I modify some other
part of the event.

working perfectly on my old setup, it's not working with the new one.

I love KATE and use it a lot. Unfortunately it seems to have a weird
setting somewhere (associated with either a file or session) that
affects regex search and replace.
I have been editing multiple files recently using regex's. Usually KATE
allows \n to match the end-of-line which lets me
