Hi,
Can some kind member of the Debian Kernel Team direct me to some
documentation about how the package 'linux-libc-dev' fits into the
picture. I am learning about the standard toolchain, and just noticed
that installing 'gcc' brings in a dependency on 'libc6-dev'. (That

I was told in IRC to mail here for your opinions on this matter before
submitting the ITP.

Version: Debian 5.0r2
Hi,
There was a regression on mainline kernel due to my patches for tsc
unification.
It seems lenny has picked-up those unification patches but didn't pick
the fix for that regression.
I checked sources for Debian5 5.0r2 and its missing the fix.
The co
Users have now confirmed this bug on real hardware:
It breaks d-i on a Compaq DC9600.
Probably the tip of the iceberg.

I too encountered the same problem on our Intel Atom (Poulsbo chipset) based
computer running Debian 5.0. Upon looking at the file reboot.c in the kernel I
found that the following two works for me:
reboot=bios
reboot=acpi
Now at this point of time I am not sure if this is a BIOS issue or a ke

I'm sorry, but reporting kernel bugs in the debian BTS is as far as I

Hi,
this is to let you know that I seem to have the same problem.
I recently updated from the current lenny kernel (2.6.26, self-compiled,
but only with changes to one pata-driver), to the current version in sid
(2.6.30, with the same change).
Communication with my Garmin GPSMap 60csx was no pro
We have several fixes queued up so I'd like to schedule an upload for
lenny p-u. I propose we shoot for Wednesday, 7/29.

that was the case for <= 2.6.29, anyway for KMS you want PAT *on*.

This is a duplicate--they finally found there way into the package's listing.
I am presently testing a corrected version which seems to be OK.
