team only takes patches that are also in mainline. So probably the best
approach is to prod the wlan kernel maintainers to take the patch and
then report a bug for the Debian kernel asking for a backport.

prepared a backport to jessie that probably will go in soon.
I don't know the plans when these will be uploaded though.
The problem is the following: The rtc can wakeup the machine with an
_tm for dates < 1970
(or clamp t_alm in __rtc_read_alarm to >= 0?)

Most archs use the C-version of recordmcount nowadays. I don't know
about 3.2, but for new versions we'd need a binary and rewrite
Makefile.build IIRC.
