Gentlemen, Never have I seen such an unstable system. In fairness, this is my first amd64 system. All previous systems I have used have been i386 systems. But I cannot find any Debian Linux kernel that is stable on my amd64 system. The best I can find is linux-image-3.11-2-amd64, version

I really don't see a solution, but probably it would be useful if you could post your motherboard model. Newest kernel from kernel.org is 3.2.13, doesn't look you could get something newer. Did you try Wheezy kernel 3.2, or Wheeze backports kernel 3.10? You could also try KFreeBSD and Hurd

I intend to upload linux to unstable tomorrow. This should fix the FTBFS on sparc and the xhci regression that has resulted in USB disk I/O failures in some configurations. Let me know if there are any other urgent fixes that should be included. No ABI change is needed. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings
