Adding ide_core.cdrom=1.0 and ide_core.nowerr=1.0 to the boot command line did
not produce a /dev entry.
A scan using wodim/cdrecord/dvdrecord with the -scanbus option did not locate
the drive.
Executing modprobe -v ide_cd and modprobe -v isofs caused no changes in /dev.
