That date has not passed yet and the page said clearly that it might last
longer depending on sponsors. For now it looks like that some packages
will be supported until end of 2019.

Wheezy ELTS?

2019-04-15 Thread Микаел Бак

Hi list,

Seems Wheezy has been removed from security.debian.org, but isn't added
to the archive server.

Is this usual, or is it an error?

TIA,
Mikael

Thanks for the report. This list is for Debian LTS, the Extended

is external though.

In any case, it looks like the i386 build is missing. I'm notifying
the person

who handled the update and we'll follow up with an i386 samba build.

I have just uploaded the i386 binaries.

Thanks for doing this.

Wheezy/ELTS samba update broken for i386 arch

2019-04-10 Thread john

Hi,
Samba update for ELTS is broken on i386 arch as some packages remain at
old version and therefore there are broken dependencies:

# aptitude -V install samba samba-common samba-common-bin tdb-tools
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libtalloc2{a} [2.0.7+git20120207-1] libtdb1{a} [1.2.10-2]
libwbclient0{a} [2:3.6.6-6+deb7u17] samba{b} [2:3.6.6-6+deb7u17]
samba-common [2:3.6.6-6+deb7u19] samba-common-bin [2:3.6.6-6+deb7u17]

  tdb-tools [1.2.10-2]
0 packages upgraded, 7 newly installed, 0 to remove and 1 not upgraded.
Need to get 8,598 kB/8,663 kB of archives. After unpacking 43.9 MB will be
used.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 samba : Depends: samba-common (= 2:3.6.6-6+deb7u17) but 2:3.6.6-6+deb7u19
is to be installed.

The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

Keep the following packages at their current version:
1) samba [Not Installed]

AMD64 arch looks fine:

# aptitude -V install samba samba-common samba-common-bin tdb-tools
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libfile-copy-recursive-perl{a} [0.38-1]  libtalloc2{a}
[2.0.7+git20120207-1]  libtdb1{a} [1.2.10-2]  libwbclient0{a}
[2:3.6.6-6+deb7u19] samba [2:3.6.6-6+deb7u19] samba-common
[2:3.6.6-6+deb7u19] samba-common-bin [2:3.6.6-6+deb7u19] tdb-tools
[1.2.10-2] update-inetd{a} [4.43]

0 packages upgraded, 9 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.

Cheers

testing wireshark for Jessie LTS and Wheezy ELTS

2018-12-30 Thread Thorsten Alteholz

Hi everybody,

I uploaded version 1.12.1+g01b65bf-4+deb8u16 of wireshark to:
  https://people.debian.org/~alteholz/packages/jessie-lts/wireshark/

I also uploaded version 1.12.1+g01b65bf-4+deb8u6~deb7u13 of wireshark to:
  https://people.debian.org/~alteholz/packages/wheezy-elts/wireshark/

Please give it a try and tell me about any problems you met.
The patches concern basically problems with length checks or invalid
memory access in different dissectors. This could result in infinite
loops or crashes by malicious packets.

Thanks and a Happy New Year!
 Thorsten
