Bug#842095: RFS: qspeakers/1.0-1 [ITP] -- new package of a loudspeaker design software
Package: sponsorship-requests Severity: wishlist Dear mentors, I am looking for a sponsor for my package "qspeakers" * Package name: qspeakers Version : 1.0-1 Upstream Author : Benoît Rouits * URL : http://brouits.free.fr/qspeakers/ * License : GPL-3+ Section : misc It builds those binary packages: qspeakers - loudspeaker design software To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL: https://mentors.debian.net/package/qspeakers Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command: dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/q/qspeakers/qspeakers_1.0-1.dsc More information: This package closes #842087 (wnpp). QSpeakers is a simple graphical program that simulates common acoustical enclosures behaviour to help designing loudspeaker systems, based on the loudspeaker driver's Thiele / Small parameters and the chosen enclosure type. . This software is mostly useful for do-it-yourself loudspeaker enthusiasts, acoustics teaching, and to a lesser extent, for loudspeaker engineering. I am also the upstream author of this program. There is no similar software in Debian, yet. But there are similar software on other operating systems (think of WinISD). This software depends on Qt5 (widgets) and Qwt6 (frequency response plot). I got a positive return from debian-science mailing-list on the idea of packaging that software for Debian. I hope the package is well done. Thank you for your review and possible sponsorship ! Regards, Benoît

Concerning DHG's package-plan, I can't run the tests myself, ghc seems to be broken in my chroot due to hardening flag -pie (see #712228). So I propose to add patat later, when things calm down. signature.asc Description: PGP signature
Re: How to trigger rebuild of r-cran-knitr on armel?
Hi again >If builders can't pick it up, it means that something else in the toolchain is >blocking >it. and now we have the good reason:nodejs is not available anymore on armel, so you have to file an RM bug against ftpmasters if you want to see it migrate. e.g. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=838458 G.

On rereading it, though, I realized that this only applies to Python programs, whereas the rules are less strict for Python libraries. I have added a Python 2 package and reuploaded the package to Mentors. Regards, Fabian

If my assumption that testing migration of >r-cran-knitr is blocked due to the missing armel Build-Dependency - >how can I ask for a rebuild? actually the package is BD-uninstallable, so it will be picked up as soon as the reverse-dependency is installed. If builders can't pick it up, it means that something else in the toolchain is blocking it. just wait for the line [1] 3.3.1.20161024-1Uploaded2h 10m to become "Installed" [1] https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=r-base=sid G.
How to trigger rebuild of r-cran-knitr on armel?
Hi, as far as I can see here[1] there was no r-base-core:armel (>= 3.3.1.20161024-1) available at the time of building r-cran-knitr. However, this seems to have fixed now since r-base-core=3.3.1.20161024-1 is now available for all architectures. If my assumption that testing migration of r-cran-knitr is blocked due to the missing armel Build-Dependency - how can I ask for a rebuild? Kind regards Andreas.
