I went to the apple store to see what this guys can do. They told me

The Ac Charger does not have enough power to charge the battery and
give enery to the powerbook. In conclusion, the AC Charger is damaged.

I used to charge my laptop when I have little battery on it. The thing
is that now it just won't charge. If I turn it off and plug the cable
to charge the powerbook it starts charging, but when I boot linux it
suddenly stops doing this.

I just update my debian powerbook (the unstable sources) a few minutes
ago and it freezes. I can't start gdm cause it just hang...
How can I start console and what I can do to undo this.. should I
