It probably doesn't makes sense to duplicate the same thing in both places. If there is duplication, I'd suggest trimming the duplication from the wiki. Hi, I'd like to join the python team. I just packaged scspell3k (https://github.com/myint/scspell) and would like to bring it to debian with the team. It is used in many tests for packages that we are currently packaging in the robotics team. I already talked to Jochen (jspricke) who is a member of the python team and he can sponsor the package. Request to join the Python Team
Hi, I'd like to join the Python team on Salsa. Recently I've taken over the maintainer ship for flask-sqlalchemy together with a long time businesses partner I'm working together with on my day job. And some more packages are to come I want to work on. For another Django based project we needed to get python-django-crispy-forms-foundation packaged. I'm testing currently the prepared Debian packages on this. My username on Salsa is tijuca. Thanks! -- Regards Carsten

Request to join the Python team
Hi everyone, I've been contracted by Synchrotron Soleil to work on the packaging of Jupyterhub and its dependencies. This turns out to about 20 Python packages, most of which should probably go under the Debian Python Team umbrella (although some may go into Debian Science). So I hereby request to be added to the python-team group on salsa. My salsa login is "lolando", and I have read and accept the https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/tools/python-modules/blob/master/policy.rst policy. Thanks, and see you soon for improving Debian :-) Roland.

Hey, I would like to join the DPMT and PAPT team (yes, both! :D). I am a DM[1] and maintain packages under the Ruby, Golang, JS, and the Perl team. My QA profile could be found here[2]. Within the Python team, I would like to help maintain the existing packages, and also package a few new modules for a couple of upstream projects. I've added you to both DPMT and PAPT. As discussed on IRC, I think PAPT is the right answer for Tox. Request to join the Python team
Hi, I'd like to be added to the Python team Salsa group (either PAPT, DPMT, or both -- see below). My salsa login is "paravoid". I've prepared multiple updates to the "tox" package, including a (much) newer upstream, and I'd like to be able to push those changes and make an upload to Debian. In terms of experience, I maintain a Python package already (python-maxminddb, under collab-maint) and have sponsored other packages in the past that were maintained by DPMT. I'm actually a bit confused on where "tox" belongs -- Maintainer field seems to be set to PAPT, but in salsa it's under python-modules. It could be argued that it belongs in either, as it's a Python application used to develop and test other Python modules and applications... I actually don't really mind, but I would need access to both groups to be able to move it in Salsa. On that note... what is the Maintainer field supposed to be post-Alioth? For DPMT, I see some packages in the archive with Debian Python Modules Team but nothing similar for PAPT. PAPT's page on wiki seems outdated, as is policy.rst on that front. Finally, I've read python-modules policy.rst, and acknowledge that. That said, that policy dictates the use of git-dpm, but Ondřej Nový has already migrated tox to gbp, and I'd rather keep that change. Regards, Faidon
