Paul,
just a quick reply - PHP already has a security (and if I remember correctly
release) team exception from the last time. So, we already had this talk about
upstream policies.

Hi,
we should also remove bind-dyndb-ldap from stable and add `Breaks:
bind-dyndb-ldap (<< 11.10-2~)` to the next src:bind9 stable upload.
I can keep bind9-dev package so people can still install the dyndb plugin from

Neither of these support PHP 8.x, and those packages should be removed.

Hmm, this might need same treatment as src:php-defaults. I will need to export

This has been now reverted in dh-php 4.4.
I’ve confirmed that it now correctly supports the old style unversioned packages
and the new-style (not yet completely finished) versioned packages, so I guess
it’s good to go.

Hi Sebastian,
the PHP 8.1 RC1 was released, so I think it would be better to skip php8.0

Thinking about it, security-wise it might be better. Microsoft will support the
security backports to EOL versions of PHP 7.x, but they announced they won’t do
it for PHP 8.x, so we are (maybe) bit more covered with PHP 7.4.

I thought that runtime detection of default PHP version in autopkgtest would be

Hi,
this is stretch-pu for mariadb-10.1.29 upstream release and couple of
fixes that creeped in stretch version just before
point release, but my IRL point
releases are sucking up all the energy I have left.
Cheers,

Hi Emilio,
the php-defaults has been uploaded some time ago, and some extensions
have already been rebuild.

passes NEW queue).

I am not sure whether this could be fixed in Debian stable as things
might break with sudden change. Ccing debian-release for advice.

Adam, thanks for writing these. The texts look good to me with (or even
without) Robert's changes.

Hi release and d-i teams,
can we please push this forward please and fast track the via
jessie-updates? Both Jessie and Stretch are needed as September 11 is
really close.
Thanks,
