unavailable in wheezy. Therefore it would be good to mark
cross-gcc-defaults as not being buildable there by Build-Depending on

Please add support for gcc-8. That can have multiple forms, each of
which has its own benefit:
a) Just copy the gcc-7 patches to gcc-8 and hope for the best.
b) Make the patches apply to the gcc-8 source

Hi Dima and Wookey,
thanks for maintaining cross-gcc-dev. I noticed while the present gcc-8
patches do apply against gcc-8, they end up breaking
g++-multiarch-incdir.diff.

(i.e. crossbuild-essential-*) was removed from unstable without any
coordination with debian-cr...@lists.debian.org. Since then, I inquired
multiple times on the state of these cross toolchains without any useful
