Me pasa lo mismo (lyx cruje cuando pulsas las teclas 'muertas'). Mi /etc/texmf/language.dat es correcto - ha funcionado correctamente desde hace meses. El problema apareció cuando me pasé a XFree 4.01, libc 2.2 y KDE 2 (demasiados cambios juntos, ahora no sé exactamente cuál genera el problema).
