Estoy teniendo problemas con la red, está funcionando a mi gusto
demasiado lenta, me demoró como 4 minutos en copiar mas o menos 7mb.
A la máquina de la red accedo con smbmount //pc/c /mnt/pc (esta con
windows), y teniendo todo casi igual no se que puedo haber cambiado me
funcionaba mucho más

ERROR: Cannot set write parameters mode page.
Y se acabó. No escribe en el cd de destino.

create the xf86config-4 file-the file exists in /etc/X11 but it still

That file only specifies which interfaces should be configured via dhcp. It
doesn't tell ifup what command to use to actually do the dhcp configuration.

windows pc. However smbprint doesn't seem to be packaged? No luck with
dpkg or http://packages.debian.org/
Anybody knows where I can find a deb package for smbprint or will I have
to compile myself?

where the /dev/null could not be recreated?
I have a redhat server where the /dev/null has
disappeared and when I do mknod /dev/null c 1 3 and then do an ls -l /dev/null
and I get file not found. I cannot even touch that file name nothing seams

Is there a way to have apt check all the installed packages and look
for missing files or modified files? I've found over the course of time
some missing libs and such and instead of rebuilding the machine it
would be alot easier to find out what I accidently removed, etc.

I have yet another minor question. I thought to be smart to add a line to
my pcmcia network startup script to start up fetchmail (in daemon mode) on
my laptop whenever I plug in the network card. It works great, it just
runs every 15 minutes during the night, downloading all my mail, and
I have submitted a bug about this, but since I am using an external
patch (for wavelan2) I'm not sure I'll get a response. Can anyone
