in a fresh debian-unstable, it seems as though a lot of packages depend on libexpat.so.0. these include: libapache-mod-perl php4 and possibly lots of others I have lost track of. libexpat.so.0 isn't delivered by any current package AFAIK. So I've been recompiling these things.
