I know this might be a stupid question, but can I read Mutt mail/folders

a plugin perhaps - I fancy using nice graphics instead of command-line

When I compile programs:

it may be a bit overkill for just 1 account but there is LD

You will get a lot of replies telling you about using lilo or grub.
For some reason nobody ever recommends using LOADLIN.EXE. I think they
think it's ideologically unsound. I think it's cool. If it's so
unsound, why is it on my Debian install CD? :-)
I triple-boot Windoze 98, DOS 6.22 and Linux.

What exactly do you mean by a "boot floppy", and how does it "fail"?
My "boot floppy" is made from resc1440

Can anyone tell me how to view the bootup screen, it goes by so fast
I can use dmesg to view the kernel boot
I seem to have loads of error messages after the kernel boots
I have checked /var/log/... no go
Somewhere about when fstab is mounted
any ideas ?

You might want to reconsider the project, frankly - why not make different
root passwords for different machines? That would seem to be a more secure
alternative. You can make them systematically different to save yourself
memorizing them all, by (for example) using the second letter of the

I do have one server that already uses public keys and ssh's into the servers

Some places on the net and in my local docs mention a CARDLIST file, that I'm supposed
to check
for the card= option for bttv.
On my Debian Woody system, a file of that name is nowhere. Is there a place on the net
where that
file can be found?
Also, I'm getting more confused about /etc/modules

Hopefully, you're using ssh on all your machines. If so (and if you're
set up to use public keys for authentication, instead of passwords) you
could do something like:
#/bin/sh
servers="server1 server2 server3 server4";
for server in $servers; do
ssh $server passwd root $1;
done;
