It depends on the scanner you have. I've a HPScanJet4c connected to
a SCSI card and i'm using hpscanpbm, which is
uudecode should work

I have found some unexpected changes in the last version of netpbm
with respect to the previous one:
- There is no netpbm man page.
- pnmarith does not include options -minimum and -maximum.
- pnmsmooth is a script without options, while the previous one
was a C program with options -size
