In '.local/share/mime/packages', apparently. Take a look at this site:
http://library.gnome.org/admin/system-admin-guide/2.22/mimetypes-modifying.html.en
Thanks a lot. Next time I'll be more attentive. Thanks for the link.

One more question. File /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache is
sytemwide.
And where are the settings for user gnome mime types?

aptitude purge thunar aptitude reinstall nautilus
If that doesn't do the trick, try finding a line like this:
x-directory/.*=Thunar-folder-handler.desktop;nautilus-folder-handler.desktop;
in the file /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache and replace it with
something like this:
Hi All! I'm using GNOME Desktop Environment. I was interested in
alternative file managers and tried to install Thunar file manager. I
don't know how but it became default file manager and when opening from
menu Places any location starts Thunar instead of Nautilus. When trying
to set up default
Reinstalling/reconfiguring nautilus may work:
# aptitude reinstall nautilus
or
# dpkg-reconfigure nautilus
Absolutely no result. I remove dthunar package with
#aptitude remove thunar
but Open Folder field still can't be selected and thunar field is
present. See attach

Have you tried restarting X?

Hi! Just make iso images from your source DVDs, then mount them to temp
folders by including appropriate lines in your /etc/fstab file. Create
folders using lndir and add them to sourslist.
So, in /etc/fstab:
/repository/LinuxIso/Debian40r0/debian-40r0-i386-DVD-1.iso
Hi
Does anyone have a way to achieve the rotation
in one step? As trivial a problem as this is,
I didn't see it mentioned in the Web based manual.
I think you may write script for this operatins. However, I can't say
you how to do it :(
Good luck.

Hi!
I don't do Hal. What happens if you just use mount? With type vfat,
you can just use the option utf8.
If I use mount command it work fine.
If HAL mounts it #mount gives:
/dev/sdb1 on /media/KINGSTON type vfat
(rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,shortname=winnt,uid=1035)
and #ls:
??? ??
??? ??
I'm sure there's a udev option to change that behavior.
I tried to add fdi file with my options
match key=volume.policy.should_mount bool=true
match key=@block.storage_device:storage.policy.should_mount
bool=true
match key=volume.fstype string=vfat

Hi!
I've got a problem mounting my USB stick in Debian Etch. Having vfat fs
on it mount without iocharset option. Mount cjmmand says:
/dev/sdb1 on /media/KINGSTON type vfat
(rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,shortname=winnt,uid=1035)
As I understand, I need to say HAL to use iocharset=utf8 option, but how
11 matches
