KDE Arts and JACK

Hi! I'm trying to configure KDE's sound system ARTS to use the JACK Audio Connection Kit. It works fine if I launch JACK manually and then after that change the ARTS setttings (in KDE's Control Center) to use JACK, but I was not able to get ARTS launch JACK automatically when KDE is started. Has

Hi! Since I moved from 2.2.19pre17 to 2.4.17 Kernel a while ago, my machine reboots instead of powering off when I booted windows before. I tried the 'use real mode APM BIOS call to power off' kernel option, but that didn't help. Where is the problem and how can I fix

Hi! I've compiled 2.4.17 kernel as kernel-image package on my woody machine and installed it on a potato machine. I made a reboot with the new kernel and after that it refused to load modules ("Can't locate module..."). lsmod and even modconf doesn't list any module, so I tried 'depmod -ae 2.4

Hi! What do I have to do to deliver all outgoing mails to a smarthost via smtp-auth? Someone told me i have to use a rather *new* version of postfix compiled with SASL-Authentification support. Is this the case with Potato r3 or do I have to get a newer version of this package and/or recompile it
