ldconfig can't find libgtk.so etc.

1998-11-20 Thread Daniel Elenius
When running ldconfig, I get the following error message: Warning: Can't open /usr/lib/libglib.so (no such file or directory), skipping and the same for libgtk.so and libgdk.so But the thing is, these files exist in that dir. They are symlinks to, respectively: libglib.so - libglib.so.1.0.4

Valid values for LC_ALL and LANG?

1998-11-20 Thread Daniel Elenius
Does anyone know what values you might have for the environmnt variables LC_ALL and LANG (I sometimes get a warning that I should set these). I have set LC_CTYPE (to ISO8859-1), I use a swedish keyboard. I haven't found the specs for these variables anywhere.

thoughts on VM folders

1998-11-20 Thread Daniel Elenius
I have the following problem: I use fetchmail to get mail from a mail server. I use procmail to put some mail in separate folders, for example all debian-user mail goes to a debian folder. So far so good. When I start VM (in xemacs) my 'normal' mail (from /var/spool/mail) is moved to ~/INBOX.
