With 2.0.x the first parallel Port is lp1, with 2.1.x lp0 (edit
/etc/printcap)

The result was: ncftp transfers the data a maximum speed (ISDN, nearly
8000 cps).
Later i tried both again: - same result.

I think, you have a simple ISP-account. In this case
add to /etc/init.d/network:
ipfwadm -F -p deny
ipfwadm -F -a m -S 192.168.2.0/24 -D 0.0.0.0/0.
192.168.2.0 is my local network. The rest is generic.

I installed the newest KDE (of SLINK AFAIK).
When the System starts I get the following message.
Your System uses shadow passwords. You need suid for the screensaver to
run.
I think, this needs an entry in suid.conf.

I had the same problem. Installing all the latest referring packages
(kde+libraries) from slink worked for me.
(But its surely not a specific solution)

At bootup there are some error-messages, saying, that network service was

debian 2.0 (The files are still looking for rpc.portmap instead of
portmap, as its name is in the new release
