Hi all,
I compiled the latest kernel (2.6.25.7 SMP x86_64) from kernel.org and
installed it. I ran lilo. (I am basically forced to use lilo since grub
never managed to boot from root partition located of mdadm + lvm partition).
With the new kernel the mdadm cannot find its hard drives and the

Wrong AFAIK. You can do that IF you have a boot loader on the MBR

one of the previous treads reminded me to check wheather I have ftp
server working on my laptop (after 1.5 years with Debian, I am still
surprised how many things had been installed/configured/working without
me knowing it). I found that:

Everything dissapiares, including the terminals (Ctrl+Alt+F1..). I
swithed to kdm. The result was the same. I made dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xfree86, but nothing changed. The strange thing is
do you do that? I have tried a lot of thinks, but I never saw
sombody writing from Linux to ntfs... Some program, or just options in
fstab that I have missed in man page?
