I've always have good luck using the md5sum, open the console where the
.iso is and type:$'md5sum debian-live-7.6.0-amd64-standard.iso' ,it's

run 'blkid' in the console as root and can get a UUID from the
device then you can add it to fstab and it will always be mounted with
the name/ID you give it. Do this with all USB device and all will have
a static name.

This makes me think you have chosen a broken mirror. Try chosing a
different mirror site. Or that your network is causing bit errors for
some reason. (Have seen that in the long past.)

Well, I didn't say it was better, but it is more point-n-click not
needing the command line, also 'dd if=nameoftheimage.iso
You all know by know that Squeeze has been released, thank you Debian
Developers, now starts the development of the next Debian release,
Wheeze, just change the sources.list from squeeze to wheeze and
dist-upgrade, 369 upgrades for me.

that nvidia doesn't seem to have
aan fb device under /dev.
Is there a way to do this?? Thoughts are welcome!

Also if you are like me and prefer the older 64bit version 2.0.0.24 you
can get the deb from Ubuntu and install it using 'gdebi', works swell.

On Squeeze it now looks like apt-listchanges is a default install, I
removed it and aptitude is trying to install it again, we'll probably be
seeing a lot of WTF questions.

Okular is the default for KDE4, KPDF is the default for KDE3 an Evince
is the default for Gnome, I like evince in both gnome and kde3.
