My BIOS says that WSS Capture DMA is 1. Play is 0. On boot,
I get this message.

Just a quick question... I have a plug play soundcard (sb clone).
Right now I have the kernel using it as WSS. The sound often cracks,

In libc6 they have now defined errno and sys_errlist. The easiest way is to
go into server.c and remove the definitiion of sys_errlist[] on line 71, it

new computer, and it is running beautifully. I've recieved more help
from this list (and the newsgroups) then I've ever recieved from any
tech support line.
Okay, almost beautifully. When I got the computer, I took the sound

This is a very minor problem, but I got a nice new computer. I've got
afterstep 1.0-4 running. The Afterstep icon doesn't appear in the

I had this problem also I suggest:
1. make sure that the icon exists in one of the directories set in your
PixmapPath, which is set in your .steprc
2. also make sure there are no errors in your .steprc, you can view the
errors by wixh xconsole. I have
Well, I fixed the little problem with the icon. Once I installed procps
and xproc, the afterstep icon appeared.
