Running without the high piority leads to questions pertaining to
mouse, keyboard only. I noticed recent versions of Debian based
distros have this problem too (ie. no configuration details in the
file x.org).
Any ideas?

Just typing w (without the quotes) should be adequate.
While we're at it:
w # (with the quotes) will actually do the same thing on the shell
who has more info than w. :)

don't use the web interface.
Gmail offers free imap/pop service and thats enough for me, i don't
use the web login.

The GPLed Firestarter can generate a set of script, though it rids any
CLI configurations.

Dell have Inspiron and Latitude while Lenovo has Thinkpad and Lenovo

comes with full support from a free GNU/Linux distro.

Hi!
Anyone has any luck with gNS on MacBook, single boot? Some time ago,
there exists a problem with this configuration -- waiting a minute
during booting while it searches for the boot record, and I wonder if
this was solved now so I can procure one during Christmas.

I think what I'd try is to boot into Vista and then browse to
http://goodbye-microsoft.com and install Debian from there. This takes the
CD out of the equation altogether.
Is the web site an official Debian site?
