run apt-setup telling it to scan your CDs?
If yes, which CDs?
Maybe ted package is not on the CDs you have put in /etc/apt/sources.list
You can try mounting the cd and then searching for the package file

of nine disks. If a mirrored pair fail you lose just one disk.
I would say that the use of a spare disk is recommended in any case. ;)

openssl - disabled. Would have gone to non-US.
If this is the problem you can try getting the sources and recompile
enabling ssl support.

Maybe you could try some firewall administration tools and search one
that is ables to load the rules in ipchains format and save them in
iptables one.
I've tried installing ferm and mason but they doesn't seems to be able
to do this.

I would try recovering the partition table before resorting to create a
new partition and restoring backup.

not to care about this, seems like he
just read the partition table before mounting the partition, but DOS or
Windows refused to mount it.
I solved by copying everything on a second HD and then regenerating the
boot sector (FDISK /MBR).
Maybe your problem is similar.
