I had to revert to "nv" to get X to start again today, it was working, and I'm
not sure what c
so it is one of those
configuration applications that does it. The ONLY thing I change in xorg.conf
is that one line, from nvidia to nv, after a kernel update, until I can go
back in and redo the driver.

so, even though I have a "us" keyboard, those keys don't work with it in the
file..

gnome, but I got used to the KDE apps, kontact, K3B... what would I want to

I was also able to get th
since this issue with the nvidia card happened, I also can't switch between
users by doing the CTRL-ALT-F8/F7 or go to the text login by doing the
CTRL-ALT-F1. when I am in a konsole window and I do the CTRL-ALT-F7, here is
what it shows:

rebooted, all I got was the console login, no X..
changed xorg.conf to nv from nvidia, and at least I am back in X..
