Is it possible to run both the 7.4 and 8.1 versions of postgresql
simultaneously on the same box. I assume that if I was to download and
install manually that it would work but is there a way of doing it
through the package management system?

Hi List,
I just experienced a pseudo denial of service issue. A server of ours
runs woody and bind seems to have filled syslog and daemon.log with
about 1.3g worth of messages along the lines of
Apr 18 18:25:38 server named[241]: sysquery: no addrs found for root NS
(A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET)

the correct arguments such as
linux root=/dev/yourrootpartition
after its booted up, you should be able to just run lilo to re-install
it.

I upgraded my machine a couple of days ago to an asus p4p800 motherboard
(http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=P4P800langs=01) with on board sound
and lan (not that I particularly wanted anything on board).
Since the upgrade, I have been having numerous problems with the network.

been recompiled with gcc-3.2 which probably wont
link with opera which is probably compiled with gcc-2.9 anyway.
You should download the statically linked version of opera and that
should work fine.

Does it work for another OS ? I think that Media Link Off means that the
cable is physically not attached to the card.
