I use both. And personally I feel Opera bit faster. After opening
multiple tabs (around 10-12 tabs), opera's responsiveness is still
better than firefox.

As far as I know, Iceweasel is Firefox without the Talkback component,

The name and logo are also nonfree in Firefox.

Greetings,
I am aware that Iceweasel uses the same engine as Firefox for

Ktorrent is working for me fine. No crashing. You can use transmission.
It's simple. It doesn't have many options like other clients have. But
it works.

instead of v6.1 or even you can use JRE 5. It won't create any problem.

might not be the case if you are running sid though! But if you are running
sid, I assume you know what you are doing...
My rule of thumb:
1. install 'deborphan' package.
2. run it.
3. you can safely remove the packages listed by deborphan.
It never let me down.

In synaptic window, i've one status named Installed (local or obsolete).
There are few packages under this status. Why these are so? I am

How can I remove that status message?

By the way, since I am new to debian, I always plays with it and
