so well.
I edited /etc/lilo.conf
ran lilo -v and got no errors.

Hi,
Can someone tell me please, how can I use ip-aliasing in kernel v2.4?
I've tried the old stuff in /etc/interfaces (eth0:0, eth0:1, etc) but it
doesn't worked.
Actually I haven't found any options in the kernel about ip-aliasing.

I booted my system this morning, and it gave a
'kernel panic: attempted to kill init' msg.
I used a rescue floppy to 'e2fsck' all the partitions, and now it's clean.
But, it still gives me the same 'attempted to kill init' msg.

Trying to install Debian 2.2 on my new system which has the main
hard drive connected to a Promise Ultra 100 connector. Problem ofcourse
is that when I boot from the Debian CD, the promise controller and hard
drive are not detected.
