I've successfully formated and used a 9 Gb ext2 file system. I currently
work in one near 4 Gb large.

Somewhere I've read about a theoretical valua of 4TB (Terra-Byte),
I'm not sure but it is probably possible to spread one ext2fs
across the biggest harddisk.
