I think that the Hurd has to boot from its own partition. You probably
could share some binaries with Linux, but why? It would just complicate
maintenance for both systems.

I don't think it's just a matter of sharing libraries and system files.
This is not just another kernel version, it's an entirely different
kernel. A backup might not be enough, and even if it is, keep in mind
that every time you decide to switch from Hurd to Linux or vice-versa
you will need
Either create a virtual machine (VirtualBox, qemu, etc) or find some
space for a new partition. GNU/Hurd is an entirely different operating
system and it will ruin you Debian installation if you try to install
it in the same partition.

¿Alguien sabe de dónde puedo descargar las ISO de Hurd? En la página de debian
aparece el servidor ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/iso/hurd-J2/ y algunos mirrors,
pero en el ftp sólo están los md5sum (o al menos es lo único disponible para
los usuarios anónimos).
Lo dicho, ¿alguien sabe algo?

Czy bawił sie juz ktoś hurd'em ?
jeśli tak to jak poradzić se z baseHurd.gz
Pytanie nie jest lakoniczne jesli ktos sie bawił istalką :-)
instaluje go z cd (w instalce nie ma opcji zeby pociagnąc go z sieci)

Cambie el disco rigido, y ahora con un disco mas grande, deje unos 2 gigas para
experimentar con hurd,
alguien lo uso, por lo que lei en debian no es usable todavia, lo que queria
saber es si puede traer
corrupcion de datos en las otras particiones donde no esta hurd.

Nein, das nicht.
Hurd ist ein Microkernel, das heißt, so viel Arbeit wie möglich wird von
Modulen übernommen.
Den HURD gibt es schon länger als Linux, er ist der Kernel vom ursprünglichen
GNU-Projekt.

Nein, HURD ist ein Betriebsystem, das auf einem
einfach um eine neue Version im Sinne von
potato, woody, hurd... und was noch so kommt ?
Es handelt sich dabei nicht um GNU/Linux, sondern um GNU/Hurd. So wie es auch
Debian GNU/FreeBSD gibt.
Es ist also eine Distribution, die GNU benutzt (so wie Linux), allerdings
nicht den Linux-Kernel, sondern den
