When I try to remove an old kernel-image, the following error
occurs.
Can't return outside a subroutine at
/var/lib/dpkg/info/kernel-image-2.2.9.postrm line 111
How can I efficiently remove it? ...tried dpkg --force- and that
didn't do it.

Post that subroutine here, I'll bet someone can tell you
how to change it to make it work, especially since all
you want to do is remove the package.
