Get a Laplink cable, the netstd.deb, netbase.deb packages, and the
PLIP-Howto (or mini-Howto). I don't have the Howto handy right now, but I
got a plip working

Actually ... the PLIP_howto says that you should enjoy rates of 40 kB per
second, but with my link from my Dos box to my Linux machine I only see
rates from say 88 BYTES per second
