Hello, I have been using debian for quite a long time now and have recently upgraded to hamm. I must say that it is quite an improvement over 1.3.
My question is not so much debian related but the problem is as follows. I want to keep my computer on all day to receive faxes and voice messages with mgetty-voice. I also want to save power by enabling all powersave stuff in the BIOS (asus tx97e mainboard, no atx) . What happens is that - no cron jobs are being run at all - the clock is in powersave mode as well, i.e. runs very slowly which makes my syslogs quite unreliable. (I actually wrote a crontab to update the clock -due to the powersave mode- only to find out no cronjobs were being run) Is this something I have to live with or is there a solution? (With anacron I'll have to reboot, don't I? And the clock keeps being slow) Felix Chang -- ir F.K.K.
