I happen to have the earlier model of this card (the
C Media, the manufacturer of this chip, has a driver for Linux. You can
download it from their site:
http://www.cmedia.com.tw/e_snd_drv.htm
It is for the 2.2.x kernels, so you'll have to be running one of these.
