There is one reason not to use packaged satan.
.deb package contains binaries, those can include Troyan horses etc.
Sure I trust debian developers, but when using satan or some different
security auditing application I want to compile the binary for myself
from pristine sources.

Does anyone know the reason why SATAN is not available as a deb
package, even in the contrib or non-free sections? Has anyone been
able to find it as an RPM?
