If I use playmidi, I got a message playmidi: No playback device
set. Aborting..
If I use drvmidi, then it started playing, but no sound.

I tried playmidi, and it just did not output any sound at all...
Try to adjust the midi output level using a mixer.
You can also add the AWE 32 support (it should work on a SB32, too).
(you can install the awe-drv, awe-midi awe-netscape and libawe0.4 packages
under debian, and use drvmid

I finally managed to insert the sound module.
Now I have another problem, and I never get it work under redhat
before.
After recompile the sound kernel as a module and installed isapnp
tools, now wave and cd is working fine. But midi is not working.
