For those of you interested I have written a small howto document on upgrading
to SLINK from HAMM. I still have some minor changes to make to it but it is
still usuable. The only thing I am missing is the exact name of one
package...but the system will tell you what that is anyways so it's no

Somebody on the list suggested that I install hamm and then upgrade to

Hi Debian users,
I recently upgrade XWindow to last slink version and
matlab stops to run. The error is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~$ matlab
/usr/local/stow/matlab/bin/lnx86/matlab: can't load library 'libXt.so.6'
What is the problem?
Have a nice day,

hello,
i did just managed to get a working (almost ;) slink distrib, but now netscpae
(not installed through dpkg tho, but the version installed with dpkg has the
same problem) tells me:
/usr/local/netscape/netscape
netscape: locale `C' not supported.
Perhaps the $XNLSPATH environment
Re-install xlib6g and it should work. Now if only I could get Acrobat
working again...

Greetings,
Has I understand, the X packages in slink are not yet ready for installation.
My question is: it is possible to upgrade to slink without upgrading the X
packages?
