Finally I figured it. Actually beside playback of pavucontrol there is a
icon which toggles between BT & ALSA.
Thanks a lot :-) I wonder why not the option inbuilt in volume control !!

I have connected BT headset to my debian box following the wiki

blueman applet successfully connects the headset and being connected the
BT headset also announces the same.
