I don't recall if they were placed there by the package, but it is
trivial to add them with update-rc.d if they do not already exist.

the simplest things are the hardest to find in the docs ..!

At the moment I start it manually. I looked atthe deb policy manual
about scripts to be added to /etc/init.d and the scripts that come
with ddclient don't seem to fit (ddclient doesn't accept the start,
stop and so on
