Hello all Linuxers,
Greetings!

yet. Its a little bit strange: My Debian distrib is obviously missing

I have tried without success to find the fdos package on the Debian
FTP site. I need it because mkrboot depends on it. I need mkrboot
because boot-floppie depends on it.
In case I am going in the wrong direction, my ultimate goal is to make
a Debian boot/rescue disk with a custom kernel
Ave
I will like to set up a dos emulation.
Besides dosemu and dosfstools I'll need
fdos. Right ?
Well were to find de fdos ?
I look at unstable directory but there
is none.
Thank you
Samuel

Two questions:
I'm trying to set up a Debian system using a disk from Cheap*Bytes

(i.e. dosemu) that fdos is recommended, but not available. In fact, a
search of the Debian FTP structure shows that there *is* no fdos

As for NcFTP -- can a mere newbie user request a new package? I'm
used to NcFTP, which I've used on Panix (Sun) and on my home machine
under OS/2. Sure, I could compile it myself, but I'm afraid that as
soon as I do, a package would be released and I'd have a hard time
upgrading. :-)

With the new package of dosemu, fdos comes as part of dosemu and
therefore isn't used as a separate package any more

You guessed wrong.

Ok, perhaps I'm dreaming, but I thought fdos was in frozen at one time.

install the unstable fdos into a frozen system?
BTW, I just installed X at home
