print some pngs with a console program?

How can i print a list of pngs with a console program. I tried a2ps, but it won't work. After this it tried to use the lp command, but my printer is printing only the half page of the png. The paper size is set to A4 and im using cups. Some suggestions what is going wrong here? Thanks! Roman
