Hi,

I'm having problems with UML on Debian Sarge. When i start my uml under X Windows with con=xterm, i get a loging prompt but when i try the same NOT from X, i am not able to get a login prompt.
It boots until it should show the prompt (right after starting cron)
and this is what i get:

Starting periodic command scheduler: cron
Init: Id "1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

In the UML root system i edited inittab and commented out the last 5 lines with tty's so i only have tty1 set up.
I tried starting the uml in different ways:
con=null con0=fd:0,fd:1
con=pts
con=tty:/dev/tty10

I then try "screen -r <name>" where name is the umlid. This works to take over the session again but i have the above described problem. For instance, when i do con=pts and then try screen /dev/pts/x (i found out what x is by running ps aux), this works but i don't see any messages at all.

Any idea how i can run my UML from console instead of X?

Thanks,
Benedict
