Hi,
There is a problem when I use xman. When I first start a new man page,
it always pops up 3 identical windows saying:
Xman Warning: Something went wrong in retrieving the uncompressed
mannual page try cleaning up /tmp.
but after the first page, if I start a new one without closing the
Just a followup:
The width of the separate xman help page can also be set by
Xman*help.geometry: 800x900

When I select manual page in the xman startup window,
the window for the manual is too narrow, I have to manually
increase it to the proper size. How can I change the default
size?
I read the xman man page, it mentions the -pagesize option,
which does work if I start xman from the command line
When I type ctrl + s in xman, and type in a man page, such as 'ls', I
get a dialog box which states:
"Xman Warning: Something went wrong with retrieving the uncompressed
manual page try cleaning up /tmp [DISMISS]".
However, the page seems to load fine. Any ideas?

Hi,
I am using slink. I remember I after I upgraded from hamm to slink the
scrollbar in Xman was solid grey. At some point this changed. Now they are
white with "dotted" lines. These "dotted" lines are all over the gui
actually, around "Options" and "Section&q

Hi folks!
I am running Debian 1.3.1 (bo) and I can't seem to find xman. I know it
comes with my CD because I had it installed at one time. What .deb package
is xman included in?

Hello debians,
I posted this question to the german user list too, no answers.
I'll try it again here.
The problem is, that xman doesn't find the X11 and related
man pages. All the other manpages are displayed correctly.
The X11R6 man directory is in the MANPATh:
~$ manpath

don't have a printer. Not that I've mailed the maintainer or anything,

I cant find any package for xman. I scaned the package file and xman
was only mentioned once in that file as a conflict with some other
package. How could that be if xman dose not exist in debian ??
