I know that this version of wmaker is in unstable, but can anybody else
use it?
I cannot change the window focus, and the mouse does nothing outside of
the front window.
I have tried running it with and without gnome, and with and without the
wmaker-gnome package. All to no avail :-(

glibc 2.1 without upgrading my whole system to potato. I got some
responses (which I didn't save, sorry). Here's what worked for me.
The best solution was to create a potato subdirectory, chroot to it,
untar the potato base system
Since one of the latter updates from potato, the icons that appear on
the desktop (home, mountable devices) now have the standard folder icon
and efforts in changing them (via right-click - Properties - Options)
seem to fail.

rebuild my machine (long story)
and now the custom kernels are't build properly. The line I use to build
them is
make-kpkg --revision=custom.X.Y kernel_image
where X is usually a major change number and Y is a tweak number. eg
Cos I'm trying to set up a command with gw, you see.
