Apache2 php5: enregistrer sous index.php

2008-10-05 Thread Nicolas BERCHER

Bonjour,

ma xbox360. Malheureusement, impossible de lire les Divx_HD
matroska...
J'ai donc essayé ceci:

mencoder -oac copy -ovc copy mavideo.mkv -o mavideo.avi

afin de changer le container. Malheureusement, le codec utilisé n'est
pas detectable sur ma 360.

Auriez-vous une solution alternative à me proposer (même à utiliser ffmpeg) ?

Merci d'avance.

Transfert client linux vers serveur Samba lent

2008-10-05 Thread Yannick Maillet

smbfs uid=userid,gid=usergid,credentials=/user/local/etc/smb-credentials.

2008-10-05 Thread Sylvain Sauvage
Strange Fruit, samedi 4 octobre 2008, 22:58:21 CEST

 Bonjour,

’nuit,

 /dev/disk/by-uuid/41DA-401A /media/clevfat
 rw,user,exec,noatime,uid=1001,utf8,shortname=lower 0 0

 UUID=41DA-401A /media/cle vfat
 rw,user,exec,noatime,uid=1001,utf8,shortname=lower 0 0
[…]
Pourquoi cette différence ? Ma (première syntaxe) est-elle
 correcte ?

amd IN A 192.168.0.6
www.essm.com.ar IN CNAME amd

2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-486.

amd IN A 1.2.3.4
www.essm.com.ar. IN CNAME adm.essm.com.ar.

192.168.0.6?)

Description: bans IPs that cause multiple authentication errors
 Monitors log files (e.g. /var/log/auth.log,
/var/log/apache/access.log) and temporarily or persistently bans
failure-prone addresses by updating existing firewall rules. The
software was completely rewritten at version 0.7.0 and now allows
easy specification of different actions to be taken such as to ban an
IP using iptables or hostsdeny rules, or simply to send a
notification email. Currently, by default, supports ssh/apache/vsftpd
but configuration can be easily extended for monitoring any other ASCII
file. All filters and actions are given in the config files, thus
fail2ban can be adopted to be used with a variety of files and
 firewalls.

kernel.

Ciao.

Hola a [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

Marcadores - Mozilla Firefox - Personalice Firefox

Login and xdm should use PAM, so as long as you have libpam-heimdal
and have setup PAM correctly, everything should work.

Yes I've already noticed exactly what you describe in the web interface and
I am familiar with a MAC address. I'm just wondering if I should leave
things as they are or configure the modem as discussed.

That's for you to decide ;) As far as I can tell you can forward ports
to a specific MAC, so it might not matter whether that device always
gets the same IP.

Here's the screen shot which looks exactly as you describe it. My machine is
the .70 one and its MAC address is along side it.

Your initial question was about port forwarding as well. The lower part
of your screenshot is just for that (other consumer routers call it
virtual server as well):

Nome: choose some name for your port forwarding

Indirizzio MAC: the MAC address where the redirect should go

Indirizzio IP locale: the local IP address of the computer
(it might be that only one is enough, though I'd rather use the MAC)

Porta locale: the port where your service is running

Porta publica: the port that should be visible on the internet
(usually these don't need to be the same. You could run the ssh server
on the standard port 22, but redirect it to some other port on the
outside. This doesn't bring much security, but it might help reduce
traffic from script-kiddies trying to break in)

Protocollo: the protocoll (usually tcp or udp)

Stato: state? (this is the limit of my Italian)

Andrei
P.S. Does your modem have Pirelli tires? :)

Re: Wireless issues -- Lenovo R61 ThinkPad -- still cannot enable connection on boot-up ...

2008-10-05 Thread Ken Heard
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

As Florian Kulzer suggested, I purged network-manager,
network-manager-kde, network-manager-openvpn, network-manager-vpnc and
the packages they depend upon, but which are not dependencies of any
other packages, a total of 12 packages in all.

I then added auto wlan0 to file /etc/network/interfaces and then
rebooted. The boot process still did not successfully activate the
wireless connection. Syslog showx that it tried to by running
DHCPDISCOVER on wlan0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 'n' several
times and ultimately reported No DHCPOFFERS received. and No working
leases in persistent database - sleeping.

Activating a connection after failure to do so during boot-up, with
auto wlan0 still in /etc/network/interfaces is revealing. First I
discovered that running ifup wlan0 returned ifup: interface wlan0
already configured. So, ifupdown thinks the connection is activated
even though it is not.

Apparently the developers are aware that a false configuration reading
is possible, because in directory /usr/share/doc/ifupdown/contrib are
two shell script files and a perl script file -- all dating from 2006 --
to determine whether the interfaces are really up. One of these shell
scripts, ensureifup, does not work because it is probably outdated.
It apparently needs file /usr/local/sbin/ifstate which does not exist
in the laptop.

The other two, ifstate and ifstate-check report that all interfaces
are activated or up, when in fact only lo is up; eth0 and wlan0
are not.

So, to activate the wireless connection when the boot process tried to
do so but failed because auto wlan was in file
/etc/network/interfaces, first I have to run ifdown wlan0. Doing so
has the effect of deleting the PID file.

If however I next run ifup wlan0 wireless still is not activated.
Ifup nevertheless thinks it is, as running the command again returns
ifup: interface wlan0 already configured.

After considerable experimentation I discovered that to activate the
connection in this situation I have first to run ifdown wlan0. Next,
in order to confirm the existence of the cell I want to connect to, I
have to run iwlist wlan0 scan. Finally, running ifup wlan0 only
then will activate the connection.

Booting without line auto wlan0 in file /etc/network/interfaces
obviates the cumbersome procedure just described. The interface will be
enacted simply by running ifup wlan0 (as root of course, like all the
other commands mentioned herein) after the boot process is finished.

All the foregoing raises the three questions, if not more.

1. Why cannot the wlan0 be activated on boot?

2. Why does command ifup report that the specified interface is
already configured when it may not be? It appears that it will say the
interface is already configured if by finding the PID file, rather than
actually testing the connection.

3. Why, to activate an interface after an unsuccessful attempt, do I
need to do what I have described above? Surely ifup should be able to
tell whether an interface is *really* connected, and act accordingly: if
*really* connected, say so; if not, activate the interface and so report.

I am inclined to think that these are bugs in the ifupdown application,
rather than problems specific to my computer.

AFAIK, SOHO routers / APs / switches are generally configurable via a

Another reason to use a firmware other than the default that the SOHO

Thanks Andrei,
Yes, that much I figured out. stato does mean state. I was concerned about
the local ip which logically should be static and wondering if I needed to
explicitly change to a static ip or rely on the fact that the current setup
always seems to assign ...70 as my ip. If I understand your comment then I
don't even need to specify the local ip and just putting in my MAC would be
enough. Is that what you meant?

Catalyst on new install

2008-10-05 Thread Pal Trendweaver
Hello,

I'm trying to install Catalyst on my newly installed computer, however the
aticonfig --initial doesn't update my xorg.conf properly.
I'm new to ATI (I've used the Nvidia prop. driver for years and installed it
dozens of times) and I need some help on this.
I tried to find some help on the forums here and there, but I can't seem to
find a satisfactory solution.

Here's the problem:

I installed Lenny 64-bit on my computer, debconf generates the following
xorg.conf:

Section Monitor

It seems to use the vesa driver, and this wouldn't be a problem if my
screen resolution was correct (1680x1050 vs. 1400x1050 which vesa gives me).
After installing Catalyst and running aticonfig --initial this xorg.conf is
generated:

After a restart of X my screen goes blank but the backlight of my LCD is on,
the computer becomes highly irresponsive but doesn't seem to hang
completely.
I noticed the double sections, after I take them out the same still happens.

Can anyone post a working xorg.conf, preferably for (roughly) the same setup

In the INSTALL it states:

You need a recent kernel, at least 2.6.16, with header files for the

Odd Backspace behavior in vim

2008-10-05 Thread Dan H.
Hello people,

yes, I've done my Google homework. Yes, everybody seems to solve this
problem using set backspace=eol, start, indent and set fixdel.
However, it doesn't work in xterms on this machine: Whenever I hit
backspace, the character to the right of the current cursor position
gets deleted.

Of course this is something one could get used to, but I'm using vim not
only in xterms but also in the text console and in cygwin on another
machine, and in all of these, backspace deletes to the left. Needless to
say that it works fine in all other apps as well, and, most puzzling,
even in vim's very own command-line editor. Just not in the text window.

I don't get it. I really don't.

BTW, it also worked fine before I stopped using screen. I stopped
using screen because I didn't really feel I needed it, and because the
Xterm mouse support in vim, which I like, wasn't supported.

Any tips?

What version of vim are you using?

Which terminal window are you using (xterm, rxvt, gnome-terminal,
etc), and what version?

What version of X are you using?

Maybe a customized ~/.Xresources or /etc/X11/Xresources?

Poured through the /usr/share/doc/exim4 documentation (also

exim4-conf-localmacros which can be set to modify line 1895 .ifndef
AUTH_CLIENT_ALLOW_NOTLS_PASSWORDS in the exim4-conf-template file.
I have done all sorts of searches for exim4-conf-localmacros without
success but there is a directory /etc/exim4/conf.d/auth which
contains a dummy file 00_exim4-config_header and a file
30_exim4-config_examples duplicating the relevant section of the
exim-conf-template file. If this is what is meant to be a macro I
don't know how to use it. I tried brute force - i.e. changing line
1895 to AUTH_CLIENT_ALLOW_NOTLS_PASSWORDS = true. update-exim4.conf
did not like this.

Tom

Hello, I went through this also as I have Verizon as outgoing smarthost.
If you are using the single config file option for creating your
template

you will have to create the exim4.conf.localmacros file with the line
 AUTH_CLIENT_ALLOW_NOTLS_PASSWORDS = true
Save it to the /etc/exim4 directory with root permissions and then
run update-exim4.conf.

This sounds right to me but I haven't got it to work. I created the
file exim4.conf.localmacros with root:root ownership and xrw
permissions containing just the line

AUTH_CLIENT_ALLOW_NOTLS_PASSWORDS = true

and ran update-exim4.conf. I expected it to modify the two lines in
exim4.conf.template which read

.ifndef AUTH_CLIENT_ALLOW_NOTLS_PASSWORDS

but they are unchanged and when trying to send mail with exim4 I still
get authentication required.

Tom

I found I had to add two lines to the macro:

|MAIN_TLS_ENABLE = true|
|AUTH_CLIENT_ALLOW_NOTLS_PASSWORDS=yes|

after which I stopped exim4, ran update-exim4.conf and restarted exim4.
After this exim4 successfully sent a message.

In the process I finally understood that the macro causes
update-exim4.conf to modify the /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated file
rather than the exim4.conf.template file. Neat. As the Dean of the
Physics Dept (a theoretical physicist) used to say, Dumb but a plodder.

UFS/UFS2: I see the ufsutils and libufs2 packages and there is also an
ufs kernel module, so I assume there is at least some level of support,
but they are only present in unstable, so I don't know if they'll be
part of the next release.

IPv6: should be supported out of the box

firewall: Debian GNU/Linux uses the built-in capabilities of the kernel
(netfilter). Iptables is used for configuring it, but many prefer to use
some kind of wrapper (ex. shorewall).

NFS: the nfs-kernel-server package is version 1.0.10 in etch and lenny
will probably ship with 1.1.2. The version in lenny claims to support
NFSv3 and NFSv4. The version in etch doesn't have this information in
the package description, I would try the README.Debian file.

AC97 sound chip: Linux has decent support for a lot of chips, but it's
impossible to tell without chipset manufacturer/brand/version and so.

In the end the best way to test would be to boot with a Debian Live
image.

I am coming the the understanding that each of the packages that comprises

Package specific documentation is either found in the package itself or
in a package named packagename-doc, if the size is significant enough
to warrant the split. In general the README.Debian file in
/usr/share/doc/packagename/ should be the first to check. A lot of
Debian specific documentation can be found in the wiki, where the Debian
Reference would be a good start.
