Hi,
I've been having problems in both Debian and Windows,
so I'm not sure which one could be causing this (probably
Windows?), but when I turn on my computer right now, it

the default thing that shows up on the monitor if the computer

be the BIOS. Can anyone confirm and offer some advice/URLs I can try?

It sounds like a strange ATX problem to me. I had similar things happen
before. For
whatever reason the switch on my computer doesn't work to power it up.
My switch does seem to be working. The power stays on and everything, but
it's just
that the computer doesn't seem to be doing what the
my network card is setup right and then just install dhcpcd.
That's it. No need to plug in any IPs or DNS servers or anything like that.

I'm exploring the cd.
Any idea if there might be a program for Windows for me to
be able to open up the ISO without needing to burn it to a CD?
I'm just about ready to give up on my problems with getting
Debian to work and Corel sounds like the next best thing.

Bart
try www.winimage.com it can open isos
Too bad it crashes a minute after I get it to start doing something.
It looks like I'll just need to burn Corel on a CD, although I wish
there would be some way for me to open ISOs in case I might
need to do that in the future.

a chance to install the packages for
the man command (why isn't it included in the base installation
of Debian?!?) so I don't have that yet.

be saying
Debian 2.2's Kernel or Debian, 2.2 Kernel . Shouldn't that be 2.2.x
anyway if it is the kernel version?

Hi,
I tried apt-getting Licq 0.75.x a couple days ago and it wouldn't run.
I'm pretty sure I've heard of people here having similar experiences.
Does anyone know if it has been fixed yet? The Debian unstable
tree has 0.75.2 while 0.75.3 is out.

I would suggest using xf86config as opposed to XF86Setup
Is there anything in between? I find xf86config unbearable because it
forces you to set everything up all over again where XF86Setup can
use the existing setup.

Hello,
I keep having the same problem when compiling KDE-based
programs. The ./configure command stops at:

fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

I did not finally decided about it.
Please post if you know that it is not a reasonable choice.

Hello,
Has anyone been able to get the K-Jofol plugin for XMMS working? I
downloaded the 0.94 verson from:
http://www.dgs.monash.edu.au/~timf/xmms/
, but the directions are just about useless. Very incomplete and vague.
I would appreciate some advice, aprticularly just step-by-step directions
