hd-idle
Bonjour, Je viens d'installer hd-idle sur une machine. Après avoir rempli le fichier de config /etc/default/hd-idle: HD_IDLE_OPTS="-i 0 -a /dev/disk/by-uuid b3fdaa3a-8855-41e3-adab-a4147270ae62 -i 600 -l /var/log/hd-idle/hd-idle.log" J'ai démarré hd-idle avec systemctl et le statut me montre qu'il est lancé. Maintenant, comment vérifier qu'il fonctionne? Je n'ai, jusqu'à présent, rien dans le fichier log qui m'indiquerait que les disques se sont arrêtés après que j'ai laissé cette machine en paix pendant plus de 10mn... Ce qui n'est pas clair dans le manuel sur github: est-ce que hd-idle fonctionne si l'uuid est celui d'une grappe raid de deux deux disques (ce qui est le cas)? J'avais fait une première tentative en mettant -i 0 -a /dev/sda -i 600 -a /dev/sdb -i 600 mais hd-idle n'a pas démarré avec cette config et je me demande pourquoi. Les log de cups disant des choses incompréhensibles: la page de test est trop volumineuse (!!!) ou l'imprimante est busy alors qu'il n'y a rien dans la file d'attente d'aucune machine, ou bien encore, solicité par lpq, l'imprimante is not ready et un cupsenable la rend ready and printing (alors qu'on a encore rien envoyé...) etc. Tout fait penser à un déc...age de cups jusqu'à ce que --- coincidence fortuite --- on ait besoin de relancer la box et tout de suite après d'imprimer quelque chose et, miracle, l'imprimante qui ne marchait pas avant, remarche pas pour longtemps... Voilà, chers surdoués! La prochaine fois que j'ai un soucis, je poste sur une liste de la box orange en premier! Le problème est résolu: l'imprimante était branchée sur le port usb
d'une box sagem d'orange et c'est le serveur d'impression de
celle-ci qui met la pastouille depuis la mise à jour de ladite box par
orange...
J'ai rebranché l'imprimante sur un ordi du réseau local et les autres
ordi du même réseau peuvent imprimer sans problème.

Il faut la supprimer et la réinstaller et encore, ça ne pmarche pas à tous les coups, le plus souvent une fois réinstallée, je lance l'impression de la page de test et la réponse du cups est: Print file was not accepted (Entité de requête trop volumineuse)! Trop crédule, avant d'installer debian j'ai lu les notices que choisir stable, test ou sid?, où il apparaissait que pour les progrès des logiciels, c'était franchement en retard sur stable, parfois bloqué sur test plus longtemps que sur sid. J'ai donc choisis sid pour profiter des mises à jours des logiciels (notamment traitements images, son et vidéo qui évoluent plus rapidement que leur portage sur stable). Avant debian, j'utilisais fedora qui suit mieux les développements de ces logiciels que debian. Je les ai quitté le jour où ils ont mis en service une nouvelle version de leur installeur qui était incapable de tenir compte des configurations de l'installeur précédent... Toujours la précipitation! On m'avait dit que debian y avait pas mieux, je l'ai cru! Et lightdm était présent avant le passage en force de la généralisation de systemd. 2ème incohérence! Enfin la 3ème: lightdm: gkr-pam: couldn't run gnome-keyring-daemon: No such file or directory: 1 Time(s) lightdm: gkr-pam: gnome-keyring-daemon didn't start properly: 1 Time(s) normal aussi gnome-keyring n'est pas installé! Si j'utilise lightdm c'est justement parce que je ne veux pas de gnomeries sur cette machine et que lightdm semble (semblait?) être une alternative auxdites gnomeries. Allez savoir! wine does nothing

Pour insérer des notes fluo ou des petites dessins, il y a xournal. Il n'y a pas que ça: quand on produit un fichier qui doit passer sur des flasheuses d'imprimeur pour faire un livre, le contrôle des transformations colorimétriques (CMYK) ne peut pas se faire avec evince... You are using sid, so it has nothing to do with the command line and new users. ;) These kinds of problems also happen with stable version You can disable session saving in Xfce from the xfce4-settings-manager or to be asked if you want to save the session (session management), three options, quite nice IMO. Nope! this doesn't work (for many times now!) I had to put some command in my .Xresources (rm -fr .cache/sessions) to get rid of old sessions! I am not a developer. Yep, some things got screwed because everybody is pushing systemd but I do not care, I use it already and everything works. Could be that Xfce still has to prepare for total systemd compatibility, therefore your problem with lightdm and shutdown. I sent a message SOLVED, it is a bug in polkit... I don't understand why developping a new init must screw up the old one! So many times developpers do not care about backward compatibility and this is boring The best example is GNOME, that's why I switched to xfce. I can give other examples. Assumed it should work for stable, but not for sid, I would compare the differences. icedove strange language behaviour
Bonjour, I have a problem with icedove: the default locale on my machine is fr_FR-utf8. On every opened window everything is in French (fichier, Edition, Affichage... etc.) except for icedove which is in English on only one user account (on other accounts, icedove is in French). Where does icedove reads its language config on a user account? I searched in .icedove directory but did not fing something relevant... On the user account echo $LANG returns fr_FR-utf8 as on every other accounts. Could someone give me a clue?
